We're seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a high-performing delivery team within a large-scale central government modernisation programme. You'll work as part of an Agile Scrum team made up of Java Engineers, Front-End Developers, and Quality Engineers, contributing to the transformation of legacy systems into scalable, cloud-based services.

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based microservices and APIs

• Build and test RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and JUnit

• Apply Kubernetes for containerisation and deployment

• Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software solutions

• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices in secure development

• Support continuous integration, testing, and deployment activities

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot

• Solid understanding of REST API development and JSON

• Proficiency in JUnit for unit testing

• Experience deploying microservices using Kubernetes

• Proven background working in complex technical environments, ideally from regulated sectors such as Banking, Finance, Insurance, Utilities, or Telecommunications
