AppDynamics Subject Matter Expert (SME) - £60,000 to £70,000 per year - Remote with occasional travel to London

FryerMiles are delighted to be supporting a fantastic technology SME on their recruitment of a AppDynamic Subject Matter Expert (SME) to work on a long term, major government programme.

The AppDynamics Subject Matter Expert (SME) will join the Infrastructure Operations function. This is a critical role requiring someone who can start immediately to ensure a smooth knowledge transfer and seamless transition ahead of service delivery and operational go-live.

You'll be the technical authority for AppDynamics across a complex multi-team delivery landscape, ensuring monitoring, alerting and system health rules are correctly implemented, maintained and optimised for production performance.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the technical SME for AppDynamics across the client landscape, providing guidance to internal teams and ensuring successful integration across wider delivery streams

AppDynamics Configuration & Engineering

Create, configure and maintain alerting based on evolving business and operational requirements

Deploy and manage health rules, ensuring accurate monitoring of application and infrastructure performance

Triage and resolve AppDynamics issues within lower environments, supporting teams through root cause analysis and corrective action.

Defect & Issue Management

Own the full AppDynamics defect management process

Ensure timely escalation, documentation and resolution of any monitoring-related faults

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Act as the primary point of contact with Cisco for all AppDynamics-related queries, escalations and support requests

Serve as the technical SME for AppDynamics across the client landscape, providing guidance to internal teams and ensuring successful integration across wider delivery streams

Governance & Assurance

Create and maintain a governance mechanism to track frequently-triggered production health rules

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on expertise with AppDynamics across enterprise environments.

Proven experience configuring alerting, dashboards, health rules and performance monitoring

Experience managing defects and issues through their full lifecycle

Active SC Clearance
