Role Description:

As a Data Engineering Manager, provide leadership and direction to a team responsible for development of data solutions and products, and the ongoing management and enhancement of data products over time. Responsible for overseeing SAP Data & Reporting products delivery. Influence & help develop overall Data Strategy & Roadmap, aligned to business outcomes. Support the company optimising & exploiting functionality in the Data Warehouse solution, as well as other supporting tools. Establish a framework, governance, and best practices to support Data & Analytics solution delivery. Promote self-service in the business by delivering Enterprise Data Marts for Data & Analytics self-service.

Essential skills and experience:

• Responsible for overseeing SAP Data & Reporting products delivery. Influence & help develop overall Data Strategy & Roadmap, aligned to business outcomes. Support the company optimising & exploiting functionality in the Data Warehouse solution, as well as other supporting tools. Establish a framework, governance, and best practices to support Data & Analytics solution delivery. Promote self-service in the business by delivering Enterprise Data Marts for Data & Analytics self-service.
• To lead our Data engineering team, overseeing the successful delivery of projects & initiatives. Ensuring projects are resourced, including flex to third parties where required. Working with the team to improve procedures & processes to ensure successful data products delivery, on time, on budget. Engage with stakeholders at all levels, supporting with escalations & issues. To quality assure any third-party delivery.
• Experienced SAP Data & BI Reporting manager, with extensive understanding & proven ability in the Data & BI space. Deep SAP Data Warehouse tooling experience (DWC, BW Bridge, BW4/Hana, BODS, Data Intelligence, SAC, WEBI/A4E), Visualisation tools like Power BI, with a strong command of industry trends. Knowledge of working in Cloud environments & deploying solutions within AWS is desirable. Strong analytical & problem-solving skills. Knowledge of other Data Warehouse, specifically SAP Datasphere & associated tooling an advantage.
• Experience in designing and working with Data Products and Agile Data Product development.
