As a Scrum Master, you'll:
- Guide teams and organisations on how to use Agile/Scrum practices
- Assess the Agile Maturity of teams and organisations and coach them to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable
- Identify and support the scrum team and stakeholders in dealing with blockers and impediments
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised with an emphasis on problem-solving and continual learning
- Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and information flow
- Support and educate the Product Owner, especially on refining and maintaining the product backlog
- Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example
- Facilitate reviews, retrospectives, daily stand ups and planning meetings
- Foster a culture of collaboration with other scrum masters, and building a network with other agile champions across the organisation
- Put into practice agile values and principles from the Agile Manifesto.
- Contribute to the further growth and expertise of Digital Factory and the Business Technology unit within Capgemini Invent through business and practice development activities (E.g. Enhancing learning and development materials, publishing thought leadership articles and mentoring others)
Skills you'll need:
- Proven experience in undertaking the Scrum Master role in a team that has been applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
- Experience in delivery of multi-disciplinary projects and working in cross-functional teams
- Experience of Agile project management tools such as Team Foundation Server or the Atlassian suite of products such as Jira, Confluence
- Understanding and experience of widely accepted successful Agile techniques
- Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, increasing transparency and measuring success
- Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect and engage across multiple teams, business units and organisations at multiple levels of seniority
- Previous experience of mentoring colleagues
- Knowledge of business requirements prioritisation techniques
- Ability to lead a team of resources across multiple sites, whilst building solid business relationships
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills; must be capable of focusing and maintaining project direction and be able to lead and motivate a team of specialist technical and/or business resources, as well as management of stakeholders
- Experience of managing projects with business and technology deliverables and / or changes involving external third-party providers

As a Scrum Master, you will be joining the growing and exciting Digital Factory community who are continually sharing knowledge and expertise. We are all passionate about user centred design, critical thinking, problem solving and designing and building digital services and products.

Our offices are in a variety of locations including London, Manchester and Glasgow. We offer hybrid working, however depending on your project you may have to travel to client locations.

You'll potentially work on a huge variety of projects (some larger than others), so you could gain lots of experience in a short amount of time
