Job Description

You will be working on a business critical Case Management solution that is based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint. In addition to seeking to build more functionality to support its business processes, you will be looking to develop its approach to management information and reporting. The purpose of this role is to provide technical leadership to the team delivering the solutions and to do so in a professional and disciplined manner.

Key responsibilities
*Leading the IT Solution Delivery function
*Leading the technical delivery of change, liaising with members of the IT Engagement & Governance team
*Providing technical leadership to the developers
*Leading solution option generation, analysis and selection
*Designing databases and wider solution architectures and ensuring the required security and continuity is built in.
*Chairing the technical/change assessment forum
*Providing expertise in Microsoft-based database development, management, and administration
*Ensuring that the solutions meets data quality standards
*Establishing robust estimation methods
*Leading the adoption of accepted good practices for systems development, including a proportionate testing regime
*Establishing and maintaining a approach to release and deployment
*Ensuring that adequate preparations are made to ensure successful go live, including liaising with IT Services & Operations on acceptance into service
*Leading efforts to establish better methods and tools for analytics that use technical resource wisely and put appropriate power in the hands of end users
*Deliver more advanced SQL requirements and complex algorithms to support reporting

Main working relationships:

*Members of the IT Engagement & Governance team
*Members of the IT Services & Operations team
*Specialists and managers with responsibilities for data/information/knowledge management, performance reporting, and analysis of data/information

*Microsoft certificates (MCSE/MCSD) in SQL (and reporting), Dynamics CRM, & SharePoint
*BCS Certificates in systems development and software testing

*Ability to produce technical diagrams using Visio, including data models and solution architectures
*Ability to programme using Microsoft technologies - SQL, SSRS, SSIS, VBA, C#, JavaScript and .Net
*Ability to explain complex technical concepts to senior managers and other non-technical colleagues
*Strong organisational skills
*Experience working across IT disciplines to deliver solutions
*Experience developing or contributing to solutions based on Dynamics and SharePoint (including intranets, extranets and websites)
*Experience leading staff with DBA, designer, and developer roles (including web)
*Experience implementing IT good practice in a systems development context, including estimation and testing
*Experience of introducing or improving business intelligence and management information reporting (including SSRS ad SSIS)
*Experience operating with cloud-based solutions
*Experience chairing meetings of technical staff
